International Federation Of Landscape Architects

Objectives and Mission: 

The organization’s aim is to stimulate awareness of the importance of the landscape and environment in contemporary architecture and the restoration of sites. In that connection, IFLA seeks to train architects, especially in developing countries.

General description: 

In May 2006, activities and files related to coordination and cooperation with IFLA were transferred from SHS to CLT. 2008, 60th Anniversary of IFLA. In 2008, the IFLA Committee for the Translation of Technical Terms is celebrating its 30th birthday. The idea of the dictionary was born as long ago as 1973, for professional interpreters.
