Objectives and Mission: 

To further equal rights and responsibilities among men and women in all areas by eliminating discrirnination based on birth, race, gender, language and religion. To support efforts in favour of peace through negotiation, arbitration and conciliation. To promote the insertion of women in development and decision-making bodies. To strengthen harmony and understanding among women thanks to international contacts.
Priority issues: Status of women, legislation concerning women, health, development, education.

General description: 

Organizes regional seminars on human rights, literacy, education, the advancement of women and their participation in economic and social development. European Centre of the International Council of Women promotes women's interests with the European Union.
