The association’s missions are primarily information, documentation, liaison, stimulation and study in the service of all Catholics and, in an ecumenical spirit, Christians interested in matters addressed by UNESCO.
Conferences, publications, periodicals and information meetings. Milestone events in 2007: Family Day marked jointly by CCIC and the family group of International Catholic Organizations (ICO) working with UNESCO; participation in the Forum held in Rome by the Secretariat of State with 87 ICOs; publication of books on the family. In 2008, CCIC organized the CCIC Eighth Conversation, at UNESCO, on the theme “The place and role of Catholic NGOs in globalization. Do Catholic organizations have a future?” A book was published on the same subject.
