European Association Of History Educators

Objectives and Mission: 

European Association of History Educators (EUROCLIO), established in 1993 under the impulsion of the Council of Europe, aims at defending and promoting history as an essential subject in the education of young people. It views as its mission to implement responsible and innovative history and citizenship education in Europe and beyond to promote peace, stability and democracy. The Association envisages preventing abuse of history and citizenship education by promoting respect for diversity and human rights, intercultural dialogue and collaboration between civil society actors.
