Organization of the annual Distripress Congress. This Congress is an international meeting point for everyone involved in distribution and marketing of newspapers and periodicals. On the schedule there are, besides the bilateral meetings, the Distripress Expo and an extensive Trade Program on Press Markets & Industry Influences and International as well as General Press Distribution topics.The 49th Congress was held from 12 to 16 September 2004 in Vancouver, Canada.
Each year Distripress publishes a survey on current developments and future trends in the worldwide press distribution, country reports on specific markets and a worldwide overview of taxation of press products.
Distripress promotes the exchange of information and experience about sales promotion, profitability of press products in the retail trade, retail classification, sales analysis, data quality and sales information.
Distripress gives administrative support to the Distripress Training Foundation which organises international training programmes and promotes the exchange of experiences among the different partners involved in international press distribution worldwide.
