UNESCO aims to partner with civil society organizations to create strategic alliances and to ensure greater efficiency, impact an visibility in its actions, locally, regionally and globally.
Currently, UNESCO is enjoying official partnerships with 373 international NGOs and 23 foundations and similar institutions.
In addition to this formal framework, the Organization has been carrying out a range of activities hand in hand with NGOs, not only at international and regional levels, but also at national level.
