9th UNESCO Youth Forum

Building Bridges for Inclusion

Organized by the Lumos Foundation, UK.

The new Sustainable Development Global Goals are a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a difference to the lives of all children and young people. We all need health care, education, family support and protection from violence, exploitation, and abuse. “All” means “all”.  For too long young people with disabilities and those growing up in orphanages or institutions have been marginalized, their opinions and rights ignored.  In this interactive session, young people with and without disabilities from 3 countries will show how to build bridges between all young people and leave no one behind. Will you join us?  The session will be co-hosted by Lumos, the children’s NGO founded by author J.K Rowling. It will be opened by Professor Pat Dolan, UNESCO Chair in Children, Youth and Civic Engagement and Professor Mark Brennan, UNESCO Chair in Rural Community, Leadership, and Youth Development.
