The National Team was led by Dr. Mohammed Salim Mohammed, the Director General of Planning and Policies Department of the Ministry of Education, who is in the same time a national coordinator for the Sustainable Development Goal 4 in Sudan. The UNESCO’s team – Ms. Megumi Watanabe, Section of Education Policy in Education Sector, Paris, Ms. Yayoi Segi-Vltchek, UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States, Beirut, and Dr. Aiman Badri, UNESCO Khartoum office – assisted the National Team in managing the review process and formulating findings.

The discussion concentrated on three educational domains: Teachers, Literacy, and Sector-wide Policies and Planning. During technical sessions, the participants worked in three groups, providing their professional comments to the report of the National Team. Then, a common discussion about the findings of the workshop resulted in creating the list of comments, which will be integrated in the text of the report making it final.
