UNESCO has launched a global survey to set the global agenda

17/06/2020

At a time of profound upheaval in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and calls to rethink many areas of society, UNESCO has launched a global survey called "The World in 2030".

The survey will help UNESCO to gain insights into people’s views on the major global challenges of the coming years, and the solutions needed to address them.

The survey proposes to identify which challenges you are most concerned about and what solutions you would most like to see, and then to answer a small series of general questions that will help UNESCO to understand you better.

The survey is open to everybody in the world and will be open over the next three months. It is available in all the six official UN languages (Arabic, Chines, English, French, Russian and Spanish) as well as several additional languages (to increase to 20 soon). A special focus is placed on ensuring a large number of responses from young people.

The results of the survey will be published by UNESCO in September 2020 as part of the special report "World in 2030", which will analyze global and regional views on the new challenges.

The survey is being held as part of UNESCO’s ongoing Strategic Transformation and is part of wider efforts by the Organization to reflect upon the world to come, including the recently launched series of debates at the UNESCO Forum.

Take a global survey and create the world you want to live in!
