A post-2015 Global Consultation on Education co-convened by UNESCO and UNICEF is taking place between December 2012 and February 2013. .
The consultation aims to bring together a wide range of stakeholders to contribute ideas on how to achieve better, more equitable access to quality learning for all. Participants will review progress on the Education for All (EFA) goals and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and join together to put education at the heart of the post-2015 development frameworks.
The first discussion is on equitable access to education and is being held from 10 to 24 December. The three other discussion areas are quality of learning; global citizenship, skills and jobs; governance and financing of education.
