1 March 2015
The Jordan Media Institute held an investigative journalism workshop for its students on March 1, 2015, in cooperation with the UNESCO Office in Amman and with EU support.
The two-day session addressed youth labor and unemployment issues as a case study. It focused on the importance of choosing stories that are relevant to the public and how to deal with sources and analyze data and information.
The workshop is part of the Networks of Mediterranean Youth – Net-Med Youth Project which is implemented by UNESCO and funded by the EU with the aim of providing knowledge and tools to empower young women and men in the Western and Eastern Basins of the Mediterranean. It will be followed by another session for JMI students on how journalists should use statistics related to labor and unemployment issues.
