The Forum organized by UNESCO and partner entities will discuss how innovations in the sector can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
São Paulo will host from today (12) the Regional Forum of Artificial Intelligence in Latin America and the Caribbean. This event is jointly organized by UNESCO and the Brazilian government, in partnership with the University of São Paulo (USP), and discusses the role of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in accessing information and its potential for science, education and cultural expressions.
During the event, panel discussions will be held with Latin American and the Caribbean AI specialists and representatives of the scientific and technological community, the public, private and third sectors. The purpose of this Regional Forum is to raise awareness and reflect on the opportunities and challenges that AI and related technologies represent for societies, governments, organizations and citizens, and to explore its potential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Forum takes place at the Camargo Guarnieri Anfiteatro in USP and will be broadcast live on the internet.
