The 6th STI Forum advanced the international agenda on STI for SDGs
The 6th Annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum) was held on 4 and 5 May 2021 under the theme “STI for a sustainable and resilient COVID-19 recovery, and effective pathways of inclusive action towards the SDGs”. Every year, the STI Forum reviews the achievements of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism (TFM) and the work of the UN Interagency Task Team on STI for the SDGs (IATT), in which UNESCO plays an active role. The Forum is a major international event on STI, gathering inputs and recommendations from Member States, UN entities, civil society, academia, private sector and communities working on harnessing STI for the SDGs. The report of the Forum is a key contribution to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in July 2021.
