UNESCO Global Geoparks Mentorship and Knowledge Exchange Programme
Within the United Nations, UNESCO alone has a mandate to support research and capacity building in Earth Sciences with the International Geoscience and Geoparks Programme (IGGP) as its flagship. UNESCO's International Geoscience and Geoparks Programme (IGGP) offers capacity-building opportunities in 2020, for experts from Member States who would like to establish and learn to manage UNESCO Global Geoparks. Eligible candidates will receive sponsorships from UNESCO for their participation in:
- Mentorship and Knowledge Exchange Programme (August-December 2020, within UGGps)

UNESCO supports Member States’ efforts to establish UNESCO Global Geoparks all around the world, in close collaboration with the Global Geoparks Network. UNESCO Member States are kindly invited to nominate participants from their countries.
