Handbook for Improving the Production and Use of Migration Data for Development

The handbook is intended to support Member States  in  the  collection,  tabulation,  analysis,  dissemination,  and  use of  migration  data,   and is thus expected to contribute directly to monitoring the implementation of  the  Sustainable  Development  Goals  (SDGs).  By  assisting  countries  in  collecting  accurate, up-to-date, and relevant data on the stocks, flows, and contributions of  migrants and migration to development, it is hoped that the guide will facilitate the  integration of migration into national development planning and strategies.

Democratising cultural policy

The European Cultural Foundation (ECF), together with Netwerk Democratie, organised a workshop on ‘Participation in culture all right, but then what ..?’ to discuss how municipalities can successfully involve citizens in cultural policy. "A Conceptual Framework Regarding the Multicultural Education Competencies of Teachers / Öğretmenlerin Çokkültürlü Eğitim Yeterliklerine İlişkin Kavramsal Bir Çerçeve"

This article looks at the role of multicultural education 'to contribute to the establishment, application and maintenance of social justice and equality and thus ensure a social transformation'. The article argues that this needs a change in the education curriculum, and teacher training. The article outlines the cultural competencies that teachers need.
