I am the chief executive of PAMIS, the only organisation in the UK that works solely with people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their family carers, for a more inclusive life. We learn from them as the expert educators in how to care; how to act with compassion; and how to work as a team.
My background is in occupational therapy and leadership of allied health professions both within a local health board but also nationally and within Scottish Government funded projects. As the CEO of PAMIS I am involved in national and international networks and advisory groups supporting the voice of people with PMLD and their family carers. I continue to remain actively involved in the education of health and social care students but also of the wider community.
