Joyce is a Research Fellow at the Resource, Development & Environment Group (RE&D). This is a joint position with the Land and Water Division of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), to integrate gender into the going work of Sustainable Development Investment Portfolio (SDIP) in water management. SDIP is funded by DFAT, and is currently in the second phase of implementation. Joyce’s research interests include gender and development, gender and natural resources management, integrated water resources management and gender, violence against women, male behavioural change, gender and participatory development. She has research experience in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Prior to academic life, Joyce worked in the international development sector, with organisations including UN Women and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Office for Women.

Today I serve as a lecturer in health and social care policy at Naresuan University, Thailand.
