The 2022 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report’ Gender Report: Deepening the debate on those still left behind examines the gender dimensions of non-state activity in education including faith-based provision. Anchored by the launch of the 11th Gender Report, the GEM Report and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization will host a virtual roundtable to #DeepentheDebate on the effects of faith-based education on gender relations, and whether faith-based schools help or hinder gender equality in education.
The webinar will feature education policy makers, school leaders, heads of faith-based institutions and girls’ education advocates representing a range of viewpoints, religious affiliations, and geographies.
