Sébastien Hine

Research consultant

Sébastien Hine joined the team in January 2018 and represents the GEM Report on the INEE’s Education Policy Working Group and the GCPEA’s Monitoring and Reporting Working Group. Previously he spent two years as the researcher at Save the Children, working on the Promising Practices in Refugee Education initiative and writing the Losing Out On Learning report. Before that, he spent three years at the Overseas Development Institute where his research focused largely on education in emergencies – including co-authoring the Oslo Summit background paper and being part of the team that wrote the technical analysis and proposal for Education Cannot Wait – as well as research on non-state providers and gender. He holds a masters in Educational Planning, Economics, and International Development from the UCL Institute of Education.
