Futures Italian cover

The Italian version of the report of the International Commission on the Futures of Education, Reimagining our Futures Together: A new social contract for education, has been published on-line and is now freely accessible via the UNESCO Digital Library.

Initially released in English and in French in November 2021, the UNESCO report on the Futures of Education has already prompted various dialogues in Italy:

  • 18 January 2023 – A seminar entitled ‘A New Social Contract for Education: Perspectives, Reflections, Issues’ was organized by the Network of Italian UNESCO Chairs (ReCUI) at the Sapienza University of Rome to examine the notion and the implications of a ‘new social contract for education’.
  • 12 April 2022 – An event organized by Lucca Learning City, in collaboration with the Italian National Commission for UNESCO, featured panel discussions on the report's key recommendations with researchers and policymakers at the city level.

The awaited Italian translation of the report is now available to catalyze further policy dialogue, research, and innovation for renewed education and knowledge systems in Italy that help shape more just and sustainable futures.

The report of the International Commission on the Futures of Education is now available in 12 languages: Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, Catalan, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Korean, Latvian, Mongolian, and Portuguese, and Spanish. All language versions of the report and further resources can be accessed here.

We need to think together in order to act together and shape the futures we want!
