Publication of the ‘2021 Joint Case Study Report on the Futures of Education’
A joint report published by 10 National Commissions for UNESCO in East and Southeast Asia examines perspectives on the futures of education from countries in the region.
In 2020, the Korean National Commission for UNESCO came together with the National Commissions for UNESCO of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam to work on a joint project among National Commissions for UNESCO in East and Southeast Asia during the COVID-19 crisis.
As a result of the two-year joint project, in December 2021, the ten National Commissions published the 2021 Joint Case Study Report on the Futures of Education (follow link to access full report). The report provides information about the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet) in the country of each participating National Commission and identifies common needs and aspirations for the ‘Futures of Education’ from the perspectives of the various ASPnet communities in the subregion in order to contribute to UNESCO’s Futures of Education initiative.
The report aims to serve as a valuable reference document for the concrete realization of the Futures of Education initiative.
