Course: Using data for education planning
This 15-week course aims to strengthen the capacity to use educational data to feed the different stages of planning, through a journey through different data sources and methodologies of analysis, applied to real contexts.
This training is aimed at establishing a space for learning, discussion and exchange on the use of educational information in educational planning, to identify available and possible sources of data and methodologies, the different uses of information, future prospects, and the challenges that will be faced by Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) in the coming years.
The course is aimed at education officials, specialists and professionals involved in the production and/or use of educational information, prioritising those who have responsibilities associated with educational planning at the central management levels of national ministries of education.
The course offers 5 modules that address different topics related to the production and use of information at different stages of educational planning, in addition to an introductory meeting to the seminar. Each module will last three weeks.
The modules are organised around a set of reading materials, a synchronous virtual meeting in workshop format, and a practical application activity.
