A professional in intergovernmental cooperation in the area of culture. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and a Master’s Degree in Tourism Valorisation of Cultural Heritage from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She has been working for the UNESCO Culture Sector since 2005, both at Headquarters and at country levels, in a wide range of roles and responsibilities related to the backstopping of intergovernmental processes, the management of culture programmes and the coordination of emergency response operations. She has worked in the Secretariats of the UNESCO Conventions concerning World Cultural and Natural Heritage and the Diversity of Cultural Expressions at the UNESCO Offices in Kabul and Dar-es-Salaam, at the Executive Office of the Assistant Director-General for Culture and at the Emergency Preparedness and Response Unit. Since August 2021, she is the Coordinator of the Transcultura Programme at the UNESCO Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Havana.
