The document General Guidelines to Safeguard Documentary Heritage is divided into eight major chapters: Introduction; Foundations; Description and Strategy; Structure of the Programme; Memory of the World Activities; The International Register; Further Information; and Conclusion. There are also appendices, including on Inclusions, Limitations and Questions, with a section on ‘questioned nominations’.

In particular, your views are sought on how to more clearly define the following aspects of the draft revised General Guidelines:

 

UNESCO Secretariat, including the Director-General; International Advisory Committee (IAC); IAC's subsidiary bodies (i.e. subcommittees); Regional Committees of MoW; ; National Committees of MoW; National Commissions for UNESCO.
