We are delighted to invite you to take part in the 8th UNESCO Youth Forum, taking place from 29 to 31 October 2013 at UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris, on the theme of “Youth and Social Inclusion: Civic Engagement, Dialogue and Skills Development”.
The Forum will bring together young women and men from the 195 UNESCO Member States, as well as a variety of other young participants, including from the public and private sectors, as well as civil society.
Held regularly every two years since 1999, it provides a rare and vital opportunity for youth to get their voices heard on a global level. Thus, you will have the occasion to discuss and endorse strategic recommendations that will be presented to Member States and will help guide UNESCO’s actions on youth for 2014-2021, as well as to adopt innovative youth-led and youth-oriented projects that will receive the “8th UNESCO Youth Forum Label”.
The Forum will also be a place of exchange and sharing of know-how and of the experiences of young women and men from different backgrounds, career paths and from all regions of the world, through numerous capacity-building sessions, plenary discussions, and workshops on the Forum’s topics, as well as one-to-one coaching and mentoring made available by partners.
There will also be an exciting variety of cultural events, including a World Peace Flag Ceremony, the screening of the film "Rising from Ashes", and a performance by the Finnish rap artist Signmark!
To register for the Forum, please fill out the on-line registration form below, by Sunday 20 October 2013 at the latest.
