Seiko Sugita,

UNESCO will organize in collaboration with Hoops Sports Club a three-day training workshop on intercultural dialogue through sports. It covers essential skills in designing and implementing youth targeting activities to promote social cohesion by using sport. It targets young community leaders and teachers in Lebanon and Syria.

Sport is a tool proven to promote social integration, in particular of young people in many countries. By enhancing the understanding and appreciation of cultural differences it contributes to the fight against prejudices.

The present activity will explore sports and physical activities as a tool for intercultural dialogue and social cohesion in Lebanon and Syria.
