Under the project of “Youth Camp to Enhance Communication Skills in Promoting Climate Change Actions in Indonesia“ funded by UNITAR, UNESCO Office Jakarta will organize a Youth Leadership Camp for Climate Change in Banyuwangi and Baluran National Park, in East Java during 24-26 January 2020.
The goals of the camp are to increase the participant’s knowledge about the basic of climate change; to equip the participants with climate change communication skills through social media campaign; to build a network of young Indonesians who care about climate change issues.
The camp will also accommodate a workshop about content creation, digital narratives and social media campaign, which aimed at enhancing communication skills in promoting climate change actions in Indonesia.
The specific objectives of this programme are:
1.    To increase the knowledge of youth participants on climate change and biosphere reserves as well as increase the visibility of biosphere reserve sites,
2.    To provide communication techniques on climate issues, and
3.    To improve the digital creative skills and its integration with social media of youth participants.
