Workshop on Media policies, radio and diversity

This workshop will hold discussions with duty bearers to review impact of existing and/or proposed law and regulations effecting broadcasters and advocate for independent radio sector.
Objectives of the workshop are:
• To review impact of any existing and/or proposed law and regulations at province levels that can impact on broadcasters and to advocate promotion of independent and inclusive media at local levels.
• To sensitize the duty bearers about the impact of existing policies and proposed media law upon the community radio sector
• To discuss all-round diversity in local radio broadcasting and the pre-conditions for achieving the desired levels of diversity in terms of content, people's participation, resource allocation (by radios and local level supporters)

Meantime, workshops will be held in other six provincial headquarters of Nepal parallely.
