This workshop will aim at equipping the radio practitioners with entrepreneurial and marketing knowledge and skills that will enable generate income for running day to day activities at their radio stations. It will attract participation of 16 community radio practitioners from Radio Ishingiro FM, Radio Isangano FM, Huguka FM and Radio Izuba FM in Rwanda.
World over, community radio stations encounter serious financial challenges despite being expected to raise sufficient income to cover their operational costs. Entrepreneurship has been argued as an effective way of integrating community radios into the economy and improving their financial challenges.
This activity is organized under the ongoing SIDA project themed: “Empowering Local Radios with ICTs” currently being implemented in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
