Visual Seminar "Echale un ojo a Frida"
The UNESCO office in San Jose is inviting to the visual seminar "Echale un ojo a Frida", led by Ms Margarita Valero, Mexican visual artist, about the Mexican food and the Frida Kahlo’s painting works, 62 years after her death. The talk will take place on 19 July 2016 at the offices of UNESCO San José.
This seminar will consist in the story between the Mexican food and the work of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Ms Margarita Valero will tell this story through 286 high resolution slides without text. She will try to bring to the public - from her personal point of view, and outside her native Mexico - a warmer, more human and more accessible vision of the famous Mexican painter, who died on 13 July, 62 years ago.
This conference was presented four times in Costa Rica between July 2015 and May 2016: at the Institute of Mexico in Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Art Museum, Campo Verde and the National Gallery.
