UNESCO Round table: "Empowerment of multiethnic communities through museums management and awareness building on cultural heritage: challenges and experience"
The UNESCO Round table "Empowerment of multiethnic communities through museums management and awareness building on cultural heritage: challenges and experience” will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 28 November 2017 in the framework of the Regular programme of UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office.
The main objectives of the round table are:
1. Capacity building of the Kyrgyzstan national museums’ staff in order to improve their practical and technical skills;
2. Enhancing the role of museums in society and highlighting the problems in museum management;
3. Awareness raising on cultural heritage;
4. Discussion on issues of the mutual cooperation between museum institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
The heads of more than 20 museums from six provinces of Kyrgyzstan and the experts were invited to participate in this Round table.
This round table is organized by the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office in cooperation with the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO.
