The Opening up Slovenia workshop will be hosted and organized by the newly approved UNESCO Chair in Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Learning, the Jožef Stefan Institute together with other OpeningupSlovenia members and K4A directors. This will be an introductory scientific workshop and meeting to present planned and important activities within the framework of the implementation of the UNESCO Chair Open Technologies for OER.
The aims and purpose of the workshop are to share and disseminate knowledge, information and experiences in state-of-the-art Internet based technologies and services that can be used to organize, present, browse, analyse, remix, reuse Open Educational Resources and to promote cooperative and collaborative activities in several areas supporting the core themes of the UNESCO Chair. Current issues on the advance knowledge on technology for open education to promote sustainable research, development and deployment of these technologies in UNESCO Member States and beyond will be discussed.
