Training workshop in pre-service training manual for literacy teachers at the Teachers Training Institutes in Mozambique (CapEFA Programme)
The training workshop is a follow up of the activities under CapEFA workplan for 2015 in order to ensure that a sufficient pool of trainers from Teachers Training Institutes (IFPs) are capable of using the pre-service training manual for literacy teachers.
Under the framework of the CapEFA programme focused on Literacy and Adult Education, UNESCO has been collaborating and coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Human Development – National Directorate of Literacy and Adult Education in order to provide technical support to revise the pre-service training material for literacy teachers. In 2014, the materials have been finalized, printed and disseminated within 5 existing Training Institute for Adult Educators (Matola, Chonguene, Beira, Quelimane and Mutauanha).
Follow-up activities of CapEFA work plan for 2015 includes the roll-out of trainings at the Teachers Training Institutes (IFPs) of Alberto Chipande (Cabo Delgado), Lichinga (Niassa) Inhaminga (Sofala), Chibata (Manica) Nicoadala and Quelimane (Zambézia), Tete (Tete), Chicuque (Inhambane) and Chibutuine in order to ensure that a sufficient pool of trainers capable of using the manual available in each institute.
The IFP Tete is going to conduct a 10-days training for 15 trainers, 5 from IFP Quelimane, 5 from IFP Nicoadala and 5 from IFP Tete.
