The training will attract 15 journalists comprising of reporters, managers, citizen journalists and talk show hosts working in media houses in Gulu.
It aims at equipping participants with knowledge and skills on peace journalism to enable them report responsibly, objectively and with professionalism thus avoid escalating conflicts in Gulu.
This activity falls within UNESCO’s International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) that contributes towards strengthening free, independent, and pluralistic media by promoting media development in developing countries by not only providing support for media projects but also seeking an accord to secure a healthy environment for the growth of free and pluralistic media in developing countries.
