Training of Trainers on the Integration of Cultural Property Protection and the Hague Convention into the Military Training Programme
The Training of Trainers to be held in Suva in November will bring together senior officials who are responsible for the education and training programme at the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, the law enforcement agencies, and the cultural institutions in Fiji to discuss how to enhance the integration of cultural property protection into the military training programme.
This Training is one of the priority activities included in the action plan developed at the National Consultation on the Hague Convention held in Suva in March 2018.
Over the years, the Republic of Fiji Military Forces has been one of the strong contributors to the UN Peace Keep Operations. Its ongoing training programme covers the International Humanitarian Law including the Hague Convention.
The Training will provide the opportunity to review the ongoing training programme and discuss how to enhance its effectiveness by learning experiences in existing training programmes and learning materials and through international cooperation.
