Training of journalists on news desks and work with correspondent’s network including Information and Communication Technologies
UNESCO is supporting Mang’elete Community Radio to carry out capacity building training of community radio journalists on News desk and work with Correspondents’ network including Information and Communication Technologies. This training aims at uplifting the quality of news production, help establish a good link between the news desk and correspondents and understand use of ICTs in news presentations and reporting. It will further help the station news desk and the correspondents understand better their roles and establish in-house policies which will determine what kind of news articles will be aired in each bulletin. This workshop will be held in the Station premises and attended by seven Radio Presenters and three correspondents.
This activity is part of UNESCO’s on-going capacity building initiative of “Empowering Local Radio with ICTs" in the region.
