Training on Data Journalism and master-classes for students of the Journalism faculties of the National University of Uzbekistan
The UNESCO Office in Tashkent in cooperation with the In-service Training Centre for Journalists will hold a training on Data Journalism on 8-9 November 2017 and master-classes for students of the Journalism faculties of the National University of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek State University of World Languages on 10 November 2017.
The aim of the training, which will be held in the UNESCO Office in Tashkent, is to teach the specificity of the Data Journalism and wide possibilities of using the popular on-line platforms for the visualization of an open source data in the multimedia format, and share international experience and best practices. Participants from ten regions of Uzbekistan and ten from Tashkent city will attend the training and carry out practical exercises on the development of actual content for publications in mass media.
During the master-classes, students will obtain new knowledge on the Data Journalism, its importance in the visualization of the digital data.
Two specialist from Latvia - Sanita Jemberga and Lote Larmane will conduct the training and the master-classes.
