Tashkent: Third (the last in the series) training session on non-news programming for journalists
On 13-17 November 2017, UNESCO office in Tashkent in cooperation with the national partners – the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAEMM), National TV and Radio Company (NTVRC) and In-service Training Centre for Journalists (ITCJ) – plans to conduct the third (the last in the series) training session on non-news programming for journalists in Tashkent. The session will be carried out within the framework of “Promoting Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and building media capacity in quality non-news programming in Uzbekistan" project funded by the UK government. This training is a continuation of trainings held on June and August this year and shares the same aims – improvement of practical skills in developing quality non-news programs.
The training will help participants to improve expertise and skills in producing entertainment programs for youth on different range of topics: lifestyle, sports, art, hi-tech, etc. The training will focus on innovative formats of presenting that potentially can keep viewers from changing TV channels. The training will provide participants with time and space for work on strengthening their capacity under the mentorship and guidance of the international consultant on TV and radio broadcasting Mr. John Bell (UK).
