Strengthening multi-partner cooperation to support teacher policy and improve learning
UNESCO and the Secretariat of the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030 are organizing the second planning meeting of the Strengthening Multi-Partner Cooperation to Support Teacher Policy and Improve Learning project following the first meeting held in Lomé, Togo in September 2017.
The intent of this initiative is to strengthen the work that is already being done by many international organizations by improving the coordination and cooperation among key international agencies and partners supporting member states to realize the teacher target SDG4.c within the Education 2030 framework.
The donor (The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation-Norad), all partner organizations (Global Partnership for Education, International Labour Organization, Education International, UNHCR, UNICEF, the World Bank, the Teacher Task Force and UNESCO, including the UNESCO International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa) and the beneficiary countries (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda) will participate in this meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to finalize the project implementation plan, agree on the distribution of roles and responsibilities, agree with beneficiary countries of their involvement and contributions, and initiate the development of country projects and implementation plans.
