Second national interuniversity’s competition on mediation
The second national interuniversity’s competition on mediation aim to sensitize the universities students to the mediation as a tool for preventing conflict, disseminate the mediation process and highlight the negotiating skills.
UNESCO believes that working to promote the Culture of Dialogue and enhancing mediation and conflict resolution skills is crucial to guarantee a positive reform, and to establish sustainable peace and stability. Universities has an essential role in disseminating these messages through targeting directly the youth and eventually developing and changing societies.
Within the framework of King Abdallah International Programme for a Culture of Peace and Dialogue, funded by the Saudi Government, and in close collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, and under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO Beirut Office and the Programme Specialist responsible for this Project, and after the success of the First interuniversity’s competition on Mediation- Lebanon , the Professional Center for Mediation of the Saint Joseph University shall contribute to the implementation of the second Second interuniversity’s competition on Mediation- Lebanon promoting the culture of dialogue and enhancing mediation and conflict resolution skills.
