Second meeting of the Drafting Group on the Education 2030 Framework for Action, Paris, October 2015

This meeting will further review the draft Education 2030 Framework for Action.

The draft Education 2030 Framework for Action (FFA), which has been developed through a highly consultative process, was presented at the World Education Forum 2015 (WEF 2015). The FFA explains the proposed goal, targets and indicators of the new education agenda. It addresses gaps in the proposed targets under the Sustainable Development Goal on education. Moreover, it proposes indicative strategy options for each target to support implementation. It further proposes coordinating, financing and monitoring processes and mechanisms. The essential elements of the Framework for Action were discussed and agreed upon in the WEF 2015.

The Drafting Group will mainly focus on agreeing on changes based on the United Nations summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda (New York, 25-27 September 2015) and any last issues raised by Member States between mid-September and this meeting on the Education 2030 Framework for Action.
