m.lacasse@unesco.orgThis international conference co-organized by the Secretariat of the International Task Force on Teachers for EFA and the UNESCO Chair of Special Needs Education at University of Buea, Cameroon aims to bring professionals to share knowledge on policy, and best practices in inclusive education.
The specific objectives are to ensure clear understanding of concepts linked to inclusion, increase awareness, share experiences, empower teachers and share the results of a two studies: “Transnational Study on Inclusion in Education Institutions in Africa” lead by the UNESCO Chair on Special Needs Education and the International Task Force on Teachers for EFA and UNICEF’s cross-regional study on “Teachers for Marginalized Children”.
The main theme of the conference is: “Perspectives of Inclusive Education in West and Central Africa”.
One of the expected outcome of this conference is the development of a Policy brief on Inclusion and Equity in Teacher Policies and Practices by the International Task Force on Teachers for EFA.
