Responsible Research and Innovation Networking Globally (RRING) Project meeting is a MEUR Horizon 2020 project to support the advancement of Responsible Research and Innovation at the global level in line with the UNESCO recommendations on Science and Scientific Research. The concept of RRI includes six key aspects: science education, gender in science, social engagement, open access, ethics in science, science governance. The project will look specifically at four domains, namely: waste management, bio-economy, ICT and energy.
The project will last 3 years and is composed of 21 partners and 10 associated organizations aiming at developing a global knowledge platform and network for exchange on RRI practices. UNESCO is the scientific coordinator of the project and leader of the Work package to align RRI and SDGs in the five régions.
