Restitution of the Collaborative Heritage Observatory Project
The Tunisian association Edifices & Mémoires, supported as part of the Networks of Mediterranean Youth (NET-MED Youth) Project implemented by UNESCO in the Mediterranean region, is organizing a public event to present the work of the Collaborative Heritage Observatory, in Tunis on 7 December 2017.
This project follows the regional conference "Cultural Heritage and Identities: A Youth Perspective of the Arab Region" organized in March 2017 in Carthage and is supported by UNESCO with the aim of encouraging the active participation of young people in the public sphere by placing the protection and promotion of cultural heritage at the heart of its concerns.
This public event will be an opportunity to present the Collaborative Heritage Observatory and more precisely the observation work and the results of the census initiated by the young heritage observers, which took place from September 18 to November 10, 2017 on all the Tunisian territory following a training followed by observers on 8 and 9 September 2017.
The young observers’ testimonies will also be part of the program to launch the debate with the youth to reflect on the notions of heritage preservation and citizen action.
