The objective of the Regional Consultation is to reflect and debate on the post-2015 education agenda from the perspective of the specific needs and requirements of European and North American countries, with a particular objective of building equitable, quality lifelong education systems that equip learners with the knowledge, skills and values they need for the future. The meeting will also discuss the post-2015 education agenda from an aid perspective.
The meeting will bring together senior representatives and technical experts from education and development ministries in the Europe and North America region as well as from the EFA convening agencies, the Global Partnership for Education, UN and regional organizations, the teaching profession, civil society organizations, youth organizations, academia and the private sector.
The meeting is co-organized by UNESCO and UNICEF with the support of a number of Member States from the region.
