Regional Symposium to Review the Right to Education and Inclusion in Education Policies and Practices in Africa

The main objective of the Symposium is to advance the right to education through increased inclusion in and through education. br /
The following outcomes are anticipated:br /br /- Strengthened platform for dialogue and cooperation on the right to education and inclusion and good practices and lessons learnt shared and capitalized;br /- Enhanced awareness on policies and practices (from early childhood to higher education) that are effective in promoting inclusion in education, and shed more light on areas where progress is needed; br /- Validation of GEM Report country profiles on inclusive education policies;br /- Checklist on inclusive teaching and learning reviewed and ready for piloting in the ECOWAS regions; andbr /- Recommendations on ECOWAS contribution to the New Statement on Inclusive Education developed.
