The workshop is a direct follow up to the joint UNESCO/ICOMOS Reactive Monitoring mission (27 October - 1 November 2015) to the Old City of Dubrovnik which provided a set of recommendations to the State Party.

The aim of the workshop is to support the country’s efforts to implement the recommendations made by the mission and to ensure longstanding preservation and management of the World Heritage property.

The workshop has been organised by the Institute for Restoration of Dubrovnik, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Croatia and Croatian Commission for UNESCO and with the support of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe.
