The UNESCO Office in San José, together with the Cultural Center of Spain in El Salvador, will organize the presentation of the results and the discussion of the UNESCO-AECID project "Prevention of youth violence through the use of new technologies (ICTs) in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala". The achievements and challenges of the project will be discussed with various project partners and participants.
UNESCO and the Spanish Cultural Centre in El Salvador are organizing the presentation of the results of the project "Prevention of Juvenile Violence through the Use of New Technologies (ICTs) in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala". br /Developed as a response to the needs identified in a context where extreme violence affects youth in the northern region of Central America, this regional project constitutes the starting point for a UNESCO regional strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean to promote youth citizenship, prevent violence and improve ICT skills. br /Within the framework of the project, several activities were carried out, including the development of digital courses, multimedia research, elaboration of policy briefs, organization of Hackatons, workshops and forums with local youth, thanks to the support and investment of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID) and its network of Cultural Centers in San Salvador, Guatemala City and Tegucigalpa. br /The purpose of the presentation of results is to share and socialize the results in the country, as well as to encourage a reflection on what has been achieved and on the steps forward to continue promoting the objectives of this strategy.br /
