Pedro Monreal Gonzalez, pm.monreal-gonzalez@unesco.orgUNESCO and the King Khalid Foundation are co-hosting this panel to offer a platform for a new way of collaborating to narrow the regional differences in data collection and policy implementation, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, on 23 September 2019.
Many regions, including the Arab countries, are keenly aware of the risk that widening or persistent gaps in prosperity represent. Whilst the development of meaningful metrics for identifying existing and emerging inequalities has been aided by the launch of the SDGs and their premise of leaving nobody behind, much work remains to be done.
This panel is organized in the context of the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme.
