Screening in the presence of Zad Moultaka, Lebanese composer of "Zajal", a chamber Arabic opera.
Original version in dialectal Arabic, sub-titled in English and French.

Zajal is a popular form of verbal jousting in dialectal Arabic that had its heyday in Lebanon before the civil war. This "art of moving with the voice" could draw before the war more than 30 000 people a night, and its practitioners, the zajalists, were elevated to the rank of poets.
